New Smyrna Beach Regional Library Plans Free March 2026 Programs

The New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, located at 1001 S. Dixie Freeway, offers a variety of programs for youth, teens, and adults in March. Programs provide opportunities to learn new skills, meet new friends, and enjoy enrichment at the library.
The library is open Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

America250: Women Who Kept the Light
Sunday, March 1 | 2:00 PM
Jackie Mann, volunteer at Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum, shares a first-person interpretation and history of women lighthouse keepers across the country.
Qigong
Wednesdays, March 4 through April | 5:30 PM
A gentle practice combining movement, mental focus, and meditation to help reduce stress and increase well-being. Guided by instructor Ann Minoff.
Native Plants: Manage Stormwater & Reduce Flooding
Thursday, March 5 | 2:00 PM
Katie Tripp of Natural Beauty Native Florida Landscapes discusses how native plants can help manage stormwater and reduce flooding after heavy rain.

An inspiring afternoon celebrating Eliza Midgett from the Hub On Canal and connecting with fellow art enthusiasts.
Creative Expression in Art: Scribble Art

America250: Harmony and Heart: The Women of the 70s

Vocalists Shannon Rae and Amy Denson present a musical journey celebrating the women who shaped the sound of the 1970s. Funded by Friends of the New Smyrna Beach Library.
America250: Trivia Under the Stacks

Learn to make homemade Rice Krispies Treats. Grades 6–12.
Going Green at the Library Series
Tuesday, March 17 | 3:00 PM (Registration Required)
Create a DIY wine cork board using upcycled materials. Materials provided. Participants may bring corks to personalize.
Pot O' Gold Craft
Tuesday, March 17 | 3:00 PM
Create a miniature pot o’ gold with supplied materials. Requires use of a hot glue gun. Made possible by Friends of the New Smyrna Beach Library. No registration required. While supplies last.
Learning Mobile Visit

Explore the Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia’s Learning Mobile featuring interactive learning spaces, free resources, and screenings.
Paint a Birdhouse: Homemade with Heidi

Paint a birdhouse in one of two identical classes. Supplies provided. Participants may bring materials from home. Made possible by Friends of the New Smyrna Beach Library.
Children's Book Club: Interrupting Chicken

Curiosity: A Mindful Moment

Discuss the positive aspects of curiosity and explore ways to practice mindfulness in daily life.
BINGO for Books!
Tuesday, March 24 | 2:00 PM
Adults can play BINGO for a chance to select a book to add to their personal library. No cost to participate.
All programs are free and open to the public. Some programs require registration due to limited space or supplies.
